Sorority sisters

Once a month my teacher's sorority meet for a fun activity, food, and fellowship. Here we are on my porch on a lovely Saturday morning. I made arrangements with Judy, my neighbor, to give us a tour of her Florida certified yard and a lesson on flower arrangements.

Judy is a master gardener and volunteer at our local botanical garden. As we made our way through her interesting yard she educated us on the many plant names and offered cuttings of each one to us.

Some of the sisters found the shade! We each teach a different grade and most of us are at different schools.

Here's Judy demonstrating how cuttings from the yard can be used to make an arrangement.

Finished and festive. Notice the curled leaf in the front. She stapled it that way.

Awesome Arkansas

Fayetteville is the home of Tyson Chicken. Even the chicken participated in the Heart Walk.

Terra Studios is the home of the Blue Bird of Happiness.

How sweet!

Ana Maria loves her grandmom!

I love Ana Maria!

Never a dull moment

Ana Maria loves to draw with sidewalk chalk. She is especially good at drawing happy faces! This day was too beautiful to be indoors.

The safari had a petting zoo and Lee was brave enough to hold the baby monkey.

The Arkansas baseball team won the game 35-8! What a game.

Gymnastic Joe's is the place to hang on the monkey bars!

Halloween 2011 look for this picture on the bumble bee costume. Ana Maria was in a photo shoot for costumes.

Easter Sunday

Eduardo was out of town with the tennis team Easter weekend. We went to 9:00 mass and stayed for an Easter egg hunt on the church grounds. There were 100's of eggs all filled with candy. Ana Maria was only interested in the mini eggs and could care less about the candy.

What's Easter without an egg hunt and a pretty dress?

Radiant Rosemary! Due in late August!

It was a special treat to get to see Jenny, the Alabama Women's Tennis Coach, again. She and the girls were in town to play a match against Arkansas. Arkansas won!

Dinner was at Autumn's house and here is Ana Maria with her friends patiently waiting for another egg hunt!

Fayetteville Fun

Lee and Ana Maria are relaxing! Rosemary's friend, Bonnie, invited us to an Easter egg hunt and brunch. Lots of moms and kids!

Spring is in the air! Temperatures were in the 70's during the day.

Tulips were all around town!

Arts and crafts again! Ana Maria is painting a Mickey Mouse poster.

Minnie and Mickey Mouse. Not bad painting for a 2 year old. She tries to cover all the white spots.

Spring Break in Arkansas

Lee and I flew to Fayetteville to visit with Rosemary, Eduardo and Ana Maria. We were there for 10 fun filled days. Rosemary had something planned for each day. Ana Maria met us at the airport with signs and a smile!

Rosemary is president of the Fayetteville Mom's Club. One of the outings she planned was to a pony farm. Here is Ana Maria and her friend Nora near a pony.

The ponies were gentle enough that you did not need a saddle to sit on.

After Ana Maria woke up from her afternoon nap, we did arts and crafts. Here she is carefully painting an easter egg.

Dora the Explorer was a hit this year with the egg dying kit!
